WLAN PHOENIX

The WLAN PHOENIX is an 802.11b wireless Ethernet node that runs AirDrop-P code. That means you can apply all of the code and CompactFlash 802.11 theory and programming information contained within the book Implementing 802.11 with Microcontrollers to the WLAN PHOENIX. The WLAN PHOENIX driver firmware is a free download.

The WLAN PHOENIX is based on the PIC18LF6722 and comes standard with an RS-232 port and regulation Microchip ICSP programming/debugging port. A compatible 802.11b CompactFlash radio card is also standard equipment.

The WLAN PHOENIX is available in kit form or fully assembled. The CompactFlash 802.11b radio card is included with both the kit and the fully assembled WLAN PHOENIX.

The WLAN PHOENIX requires a 3.3VDC power source that can supply a minimum of 300mA. A power source is not included with the WLAN PHOENIX kit or assembled unit.

The WLAN PHOENIX kit is prices at $79.95. The kit comes with all parts including the printed circuit board and CompactFlash 802.11b radio card. No parts are premounted on the printed circuit board and the WLAN PHOENIX driver is not loaded in the PIC18LF6722 when you purchase the kit version.

A fully assembed and tested WLAN PHOENIX is available for $89.95. The fully assembled version comes complete with all parts mounted on the printed circuit board and the WLAN PHOENIX driver loaded into the PIC18LF6722. The fully assembled version also comes standard with the 802.11b CompactFlash radio card.

Ethernet MINI

The Ethernet MINI is a full-function, stand-alone 10MB Ethernet NIC that is based on the Microchip PIC18F67J60. The Ethernet MINI can be driven using the free Microchip TCP/IP stack, the EDTP Ethernet MINI C driver or the EDTP Ethernet MINI PIC BASIC PRO driver. The Ethernet MINI drivers are also free for a download.

The Ethernet MINI is only available as a kit and a semi-kit. The kit version comes with all parts including the printed circuit board. The semi-kit version also comes with all parts and the printed circuit board and includes a factory-mounted PIC18F67J60 on the printed circuit board. No driver code is loaded into the PIC with the kit or semi-kit versions of the Ethernet MINI.

The Ethernet MINI requires a 3.3-volt power source. The power source is not included with the Ethernet MINI kit or Ethernet MINI semi-kit.

An optional plug-in ICSP programming/debugging adapter is available for the Ethernet MINI.

The Ethernet MINI is available for $59.95 in kit form and $69.95 in semi-kit form. The optional ICSP programming/debugging adapter can be ordered with the
Ethernet MINI for an additional $10. You must assemble the ICSP programming/debugging adapter.
